Abstract

398,613. Hand-trucks. WALKER, F. H., Springhill, Bracknell, Berkshire. June 13, 1932, No. 16675. [Class 108 (i).] A garden-tidy adapted to be used as a chair comprises a box-like receptacle 11 having an open top, a wheel or wheels 18 mounted near one edge of the underside of the box, and a handle 20, comprising two side members and one or more cross bars 24, extending at such an angle that when the device is turned so as to rest on the wall 31 nearest the wheels, the handle will form a back-rest, and the side wall 29 remote from the wheels a seat. Preferably the handle is pivoted at 22 so as to rest when in the seat position against a stop 26, a second stop 25 limiting the movement of .the handle when the device is used as a wheeled receptacle. Holes 28, 32 and a removable cross-bar 27 may be provided to retain the handle in either position. A sliding lid 12 and a foot 19 may be'provided.
