Abstract

398,574. Curtain-rod brackets. ALLEN, J., 4, St. John Street, Longsight, Manchester. April 20, 1932, No. 11262. [Class 52 (v).] An adjustable support for curtain rods comprises a sheet metal guide member a of C- shape in cross section enclosing a slidable bow-shaped flat spring member d pressing on the front and back inner faces of the guide, the spring carrying a hook or bracket e passing between the bent-over parts of the guide. The hooks e may be pivoted in the springs and carry the curtain rod f of a tensioned coiled wire. Detents may be formed in the spring or guide to engage projections in the guide or spring to hold the spring in adjusted position. The guide may be made in lengths adapted to be placed end-to-end. Fixing holes c are formed in the ends b of the guide.
