393,545. Bottle closures. TARTAGLIA, C. B., 82, Marquez del Duero Street, Barcelona, Spain. Feb. 6, 1933, No. 3554. [Class 125 (iii).] A " crown cork " closure for bottles comprises a metal shell 1, a cork annulus 3 fitted therein and having an inner diameter corresponding to that of the bottle mouth, and a cork disc 2 fitting into the centre of the annulus, the free face of the disc, its periphery, the back face of the annulus, its outer periphery and its circumferential edge 4<1>, 6<1>, being covered with metal foil. In the construction shown in Fig. 5, two pieces of foil 4, 6 are used, the piece 6 covering the inside end face of the shell.
