Abstract

The sealing-patch on a vacuum-sealed canister is formed from liquid or plastic material in situ and adheres to the lid thereof. The material is formed from uncoagulated rubber latex with a suitable filler and/or gum. A suitable material of this nature is stated to be that sold under the Registered Trade Mark "Gold Seal Lining Compound," of which gum karaya, sodium-carbonate and bentonite are ingredients.
