Abstract

392,776. Endless-track' vehicles. KEGRESSE, A., 156, Rue Armand Silvestre, Courbevoie, France. July 29, 1932, No. 21448. Convention date, Aug. 7, 1931. [Class 79 (i).] A rail motor vehicle or tractor is provided with an endless-track propelling system 11 engaging the rails, and a system of guiding wheels 3, the tracks and the wheels being connected to the vehicle frame by resilient means such as springs 5. In the construction shown the vehicle frame 1 is supported on two bogies 2 each having at least two flanged wheels 3, and a pair of tracks 11 driven by an engine (not shown) through a driving sprocket axle 6. Rollers 4 run on the tracks and are connected to the frame by the springs 5. In a modification the vehicle is supported on two or more sets of endless tracks. The track may comprise a belt 9 of rubbered fabric, carrying metal plates 10 arranged to touch each other, rubber blocks 11 also touching each other being mounted on the plates 10.
