387,968. Making tubes. BUNDY TUBING CO., 4815, Bellevue Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Quarnstrom, B. L. ; 4666, Courville, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.) Oct. 6, 1932, No. 27749. Convention date, Oct. 6, 1931. [Classes 83 (ii) -and 83 (iv).] Rolling ; welding; brazing.-Tube is formed from strip rolled with interlocking side grooves as in Figs. 1 and 9 bent up into tube form, Fig. 5, the projections 17, 18 then being pressed by rolls to complete the interlocked lap joint, Figs. 7 and 8. The joint may be sealed or brazed by molten sealing metal (e.g. copper) or by welding only. The strip may be formed by cutting or trimming the edge joints instead of rolling them.
