Abstract

385,734. Snap-action switches. MIDLAND ELECTRIC MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. and BARBER, W. L., M.E.M. Works, Barford Street, Birmingham. Dec. 17, 1931, No. 34919. [Class 38 (v).] A double-pole switchfuse comprises a base portion 6 having a central aperture into which fits for telescopic movement a cover block 9 carrying two pairs of movable contacts 10 connected by fuses and adapted to engage four contacts (not shown) on the base. The cover block 9 is carried on a stem 17 which passes through a bearing bush 11b and has pivoted to its inner end two toggle levers 16 provided with shoulders 16a for pivotal abutment with a strip-metal spring 15 to provide a dead-centre snap-action.
