385,345. Feeding tickets. AVERY, Ltd., W. & T. and LEESON, A., Soho Foundry, Birmingham. Aug. 8, 1931, No. 22476. [Class 117.] Apparatus for feeding tickets A from a. pile consists of a reciprocating slide 6, and a pawl 7 pivoted to the slide at 7a and to the crank &c. actuated rod 9 so that during the feeding move - ment of the slide the pawl is lifted at its forward edge to engage the lowermost ticket of the pile and during the return movement it is turned down to pass under the tickets. The upward movement of the pawl may be assisted by a spring 8, and is limited by stops on depending lugs 7b engaging the underside of the slide through a slot 6a therein. The invention is applicable to a weighing machine incorporating a ticket-printing mechanism.
