Abstract
385,104. Optical-projection apparatus. CHARLIER, P. L., The Nook, Ben Rhydding, Ilkley, Yorkshire. Dec. 12, 1931, No. 34446. [Class 97 (i).] An episcopic projector comprises a casing B, a tube T carrying a lens system A adjustable for focusing, and lamps Ll arranged in a ring around the tube T, or around a tube Tx forming an extension of it, to illuminate the object in a carrier S. The lamps may be of ordinary form, or may comprise a tubular lamp of ring form or two or more such lamps forming a ring ; they may be carried by a reflecting or other shield L secured to the tube or to a screen C, and may extend close to the tube but not materially beyond its end T<1>. The carrier S may be slidable in a lid B<1> having an aperture B<2>, and the casing may have an asbestos or like lining and ventilation apertures. The casing may carry an erecting mirror.
