384,031. Toast racks ; table stands. DUTTON, R., 167, Unett Street, Birming- ham. Oct. 17, 1931, No. 28880. [Class 128.] A toast &c. rack comprises a base 1 of shallow dish-like form and a gridlike arch-shaped holder 2 of resilient construction, the holder being provided with lugs or projections 7 for engagement with recesses or openings 8 in the base. The base may be of rectangular, oval or other suitable shape, and the openings or recesses may be formed in the base part instead of in the raised edge 3 as shown. The base and the holder may each be formed by a pressing, stamping or similar operation and feet 5 may be formed in the base. The rack may be provided with a handle, e.g. the handle may be of arched form having projections at its lower end for engaging openings or recesses in the base. The base may be extended in either or both directions from the holder, e.g. to receive a dish or dishes for butter or cheese.
