Abstract
382,984. Bottle &c. closures. CHIVERS & SONS, Ltd., Histon, and FISON, F. J., 70, Holbroke Road, Hills Road, both in Cambridge. Sept. 2, 1931, No. 24675. [Class 125 (iii).] A closure for jars &c. comprises an exterior retaining band 12 in conjunction with a cap 9 having resilient retaining tabs 11, engaging the beaded mouth by sliding over it, the band being applied in such a manner that the retaining tabs 11 are not subjected to detrimental or unrequired pressure which might effect the use of the cap as a re-seal closure. The lower edge of the band may be slotted or notched to allow of the passage therethrough of the tabs which therefore will not be effected by the spinning of the band. Specifications 224,970 and 321,932, [both in Class 125 (iii), Stoppers &c.], are referred to.
