Abstract
In a process for nitrogenizing alloy steels as described in the parent Specification, the steel before nitrogenizing is coated with iron by electro-deposition or any other process whereby the steel may be coated while cold. When coating by electro-deposition, the electrolyte comprises an aqueous solution containing 14 per cent of ferrous ammonium sulphate. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 345,659*.
