[Class 40 (iv).] A transoceanic telephone transmission system comprises a multicore cable the conductors of which are loaded continuously and/or at points and are insulated with a thermoplastic insulating material having better properties than rubber as regards capacity and losses, e.g. a mixture of guttapercha, albumen-free rubber, hydrocaoutchouc and waxes called para-gutta, and a number of submerged amplifiers connected in a 4-wire circuit.
