377,202. Centrifugal compressors. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON . CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London, and ASHLEY, F. W., 64, Eastlands Road, Rugby. April 20, 1931, No. 11698. Addition to 346,450. [Class 110 (i).] The invention set out in the parent Specification in which the cross sectional areas of the discharge passages of a compressor are altered by the movement of vanes G under the control of a ring A, is modified by the provision of external means to rotate the ring A. A spindle L in a boss on the casing N carries a pinion M which engages teeth on the ring A, so that rotation of the spindle operates the vanes G; when set, the spindle may be locked by the set screw O or by other means. In the case of a multistage compressor, each ring A is geared to a common shaft operated by a hand-wheel.
