Abstract
375,622. Parallel knitting-machines. DUBIED ET CIE, E., Neuchatel, Switzerland. Sept. 15, 1931, No. 25860. Convention date, July 24. [Class 74 (ii).] In making ribbed fabrics with vertical stripes or other solid patterns by placing the jacks or pushers 6 in or out of needle-operating position in sections, the corresponding yarn-guides are also placed in or out of action by means controlled by the marginal needles of each section. This enables the overlap between adjacent sections to be restricted to a constant predetermined number of needles. On each side of the cam carriage 7 a cam 10, mounted on a pin 11, is capable of acting on those jacks the butts 8 of which have not been moved up by jacquard selection, to needle-operating position 8<1>. The left-hand side of the Figure shows the cam 10 displaced by the unselected butts.
