374,593. Electric radiators. MUSGRAVE, J. L., and CRITTALL & CO., Ltd., R., 43, Bloomsbury Square, London. May 8, 1931, No. 13634. [Class 39 (iii).] A panel for heating buildings is formed by pouring a layer of plaster of Paris 'B into a mould A and, when semi-plastic, forming longitudinal grooves b<1> to receive the resistance wire D, transverse grooves being formed at each end to take the return bends of the wire. A further layer of plaster E is then poured into the mould so as to embed the wire D. Instead of grooves, projections may be formed on the surface of the plaster B. Scrim and canvas may be worked into the plaster above and below the wire to act as reinforcement. If the panel is to be used on a ceiling, the mould may be formed with a design. Alternatively the panel may be formed with one smooth face, which is fixed against the joists, the other face being left rough to take a finishing coat of plaster.
