Abstract
374,578. Two-stroke engines. HURUM, F., 20, Rue de la Paix, Paris. April 27, 1931, No. 12442. Convention date, April 29, 1930. [Class 7 (ii).] In a double acting piston 12 of the kind having a second piston 14 sliding therein, cooling, scavenging and fresh air pass in turn through the hollow piston - rod 15 and slots 18 in the inner piston into the outer piston. The cooling air passes through ports 20 into the space 21 and is discharged through openings in the cylinder wall. Scavenging and fresh air enter the combustion chambers through ports 23 when the latter are uncovered by movement of the inner piston.
