[Class 99 (ii).] In making Bourdon tubes, the walls 1, 2 which are flattened on themselves so as to leave a shallow internal gap 3, are reduced in thickness at the parts A . . D by recessing the outer surface. A small internal capacity is thus secured without liability of the tube splitting at the edges 4, 5 of the gap.
