Abstract

373,026. Arranging tablets for packeting. SCHWEIZERISCHE INDUSTRIE-GES., Neuhausen, near Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Aug. 27, 1931, No. 24149. Convention date, Sept. 26, 1930. [Class 94 (i).] Apparatus for arranging tablets 6 for packeting comprises a hopper 1, the bottom 2 of which is constructed as a grid consisting of bars 3 pivoted at 4 and vertically reciprocated by a series of eccentrics 7. Each eccentric is out of phase with the next one to the extent of 180‹, so that an alternate series is rising while the remainder are falling. Associated with the bars is an inclined series of bars 11 connected by cross-bars 12, 13 to which a to-and-fro movement is imparted by links 15, 16. The tablets 6 arrange themselves on the bars 11 between the bars 3 and gravitate beneath an opening 33 in the wall of the hopper towards a stop 18, which may comprise a wire brush. The stop is lifted at intervals to allow one row of tablets to pass, and, at the next movement of the bars 12 towards the right, this row falls into conduits 25 on a plate 28. The tablets are thrust forward in the conduits, which converge between walls 32, by ejecting levers 29 pivoted at 30 to a slide 31. The walls 26 of the conduits are flexible so as to compensate for differences in size. The tablets are ejected between the extended walls 32 as a single row.
