[Class 51 (ii).] In a vertically-flued coke oven having regenerators for preheating both lean gas and air, the partition walls between the flues have vertical ducts with ports opening at different levels into the heating-flues on both sides, adjacent ducts being connected to the gas and air regenerators respectively, The ports for gas and air may differ in size and may be proportioned to ensure uniform heating along the length of the flues. The oven described is of the same construction as that described in Specification 364,943.
