Aug. 18, 1930, No. 24680. Convention date, Aug. 17, 1929. [Class 38 (v).] A representation of the voltage in a high voltage circuit U, for operating a measuring instrument or relay, is obtained by employing a current transformer having its primary winding connected to the circuit, in series with a condenser c, the instrument or relay being connected through a resonant circuit, C, L, Fig. 4, C1, C2, L, Fig. 5, and C, L1, L2, Fig. 6, to the secondary K1, K1 of the transformer, and the resonant circuit being such as to transform the approximately constant current flowing through the transformer primary winding to approximately constant voltage, irrespective, within limits, of the impedance of the instrument or relay.
