GÚnÚrale de Constructions Electriques et MÚcaniques Alsthom ; 146, Avenue des Champs Elysees, Paris.) April 30, 1931, No. 12770. Convention date, April 30, 1930. [Class 80 (i).] Flywheels, pulleys, drums, rotors of dynamoelectric machines, &c. are built up from one or more elements each of which consists of two axially-spaced sets of metal-plate sectors 1, Fig. 1, spaced circumferentially at the rim by curved pieces 2, such sets 9, 10, Fig. 3, being secured together, with intervening plates 11, 15, by bolts 12, 14, 18. The bolts 18 serve also for securing two such elements to a flange 17 on the hub 16. Circumferentially spaced plates 20 at the rim are secured between the two elements by bolts 19. Shrouding-plates 13 may be fitted on the rim, and the arms of the sectors may be strengthened by angle-plates 24. Polepieces 32, Fig. 5, of the rotor of a dynamoelectric machine are secured by bolts 35 to bolts 23 which secure together three elements each built up of two sets as in Fig. 3. The bolts 23 are weakened by grooves 36 so as to provide for errors of registration of the holes through which they pass.
