366,492. Dynamo-electric machines. CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTRIQUES DE BELGIQUE SOC. ANON., 29, Quai de Coronmeuse, Liege, Belgium. Aug. 29, 1930, No. 25879. Convention date, April 2. [Class 35.] Cores.-The stator of a dynamo-electric machine is built up of a number of polygonal plates staggered with respect to each other and formed with ventilating openings ir the projecting portions, which openings are so arranged thai the area of materia left for the passage of flux outside the circle passing through the crossings of the edges of adjacent plates is at least equal to the amount by which the next plate falls short of this circle in the same region. The Figure shows the invention applied to two square plates 6, 7. Where their edges cross they are notched to receive retaining ribs as shown, and the radius of the circle 18 passing through the bottom of these notches is greater than that of the circle inscribed to the plates. The projecting portion of the plate 6 is perforated to allow of ventilation, but so that the area remaining outside the circle 18 is greater than that between the circle 18 and the edge of the plate 7.
