Abstract

365,985. Laminated springs. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA SPIRALFABRIKEN and GYLLING, A., 17, Fridhemsgatan, Stockholm. July 31, 1931, No. 21860. [Class 108 (iii).] In a laminated spring, leaves 3, 4 of rectangular or approximately rectangular section are combined with spring leaves 2 of the type described in Specifications 289,835 and 293,458, [both in Class 108 (iii), Springs &c.]. In one form, the top leaf 3 is of rectangular section while the bottom leaf 4 is shaped to fit the lower of the spring leaves 2, both leaves 3, 4 having recesses 3a, 4a respectively, for accommodating centre dowels for the clamping- plates. The ribs may be removed from the surfaces of the leaves 2 contacting with the leaves 3, 4. In a modification, the spring has a divided back leaf 7, Fig. 12, and the spring is assembled by means of a central dowel pin 8 provided with a collar 8a. The leaves 2 may be inserted and if the eyes of the spring are rolled on the leaves 2 the ribs may be removed therefrom.
