[Class 38 (v).] A cover for affording protection to persons against touching time switches, comprises a baseplate of insulation mounted on a switchboard &c., and a cap secured to the baseplate and enclosing the switch from which it is insulated, means being provided for preventing easy removal, or indicating unauthorized removal of the cap from the baseplate. As shown, applied to a meter, the meter a is suspended on a baseplate b by bolts bl which engage slotted lugs on the meter casing, the recess in the baseplate being filled with insulation g. Holes h are provided for fixing the baseplate and these holes may be located within the cap d'which is preferably of sheet metal and is provided with an inspection window e. The cap d has side lugs engaged by clamping screws which may be wired to posts on the baseplate, the wire being leadsealed.
