364,717. Photographic - printing apparatus. HALL, B. J., 2, Weymouth Street, and HALL, B. F., 8, Scarsdale Studios, Stratford Road, both in London. Oct. 23, 1930, No. 31854. [Class 98 (ii).] Two sheets of paper, cloth, or other material, travelling in the same direction are separated by passing them between two revolving rollers provided with peripheral rows of suction holes and with grooves between the rows to receive fingers adapted to detach the sheets. As shown for separating a sensitized sheet a<1> and a training bl delivered from a photographic-printing machine by an endless band B, the sheets are directed around a suction roller A by a guide E, and the sheet a<1>, which is usually the longer one, adheres to the roller A, and is detached and directed to delivery bands H by a stripper F engaging peripheral grooves in the roller, and the sheet b<1> adheres to a suction roller D, and is detached by a stripper J and delivered back to the feed end of the machine by a band K. Should the tracing b<1> be longer than the sheet a<1>, the former is carried round with the roller A but is detached with the latter and ultimately adheres to the roller D. The perforations in the roller A are smaller than those in the roller D. The rollers A, D may be in contact and gear-driven at the same speed, or out of contact and driven at different speeds.
