363,887. Indicators for displaying variable information. LEMON, E. J. H. and LENTHALL, G., of Chief Mechanical Engineer's Office, Euston Station, London. Feb. 13, 1931, No. 4575. [Class 118 (i).] A reserved-seat indicator for use in railway carriages comprises a casing B with a front plate bearing the word " reserved" and having an aperture A<1> at which is displayed one or other of three indications on a rotatable disc G to indicate (1) whether the seat is vacant, (2) whether it is reserved for one direction of travel of the vehicle or (3) for the other direction of travel. The disc G is rotated by a key engaging a squared end H<1> located in a recess of greater diameter than the aperture A<2> in the front plate. Spring-pressed ball catches I are provided.
