Abstract
363,721. Display boxes. BRITANNIA FOLDING BOX CO., Ltd. and PICKARD, G. G., Dace Road, Old Ford, London. Sept. 23, 1930, No. 28491. [Class 18.] A cardboard or like box having an open wall 16, 17, 18 for the display of the contents is provided with a display flap 27 adapted to fit against the wall 10 opposite the open wall so as to be visible through the latter as the contents are removed and to be held in proximity to the open wall when the contents are removed; hinged flaps 29 secured to the inside of the wall 10 are provided for holding the display flap in proximity to the open wall. The display flap is slidably inserted in the space between the wall 10 and the contents of the box and can be drawn out to be folded over the contents and form the closure for the box, a tongue 28 or equivalent on the flap being inserted between the contents and the part 18 of the open wall to secure the closure in place. The box may be formed from a single blank with portions 14, 15 forming a double bottom and the portion 14 may be extended to lie against the wall 10.
