Abstract
363,357. Regenerators. AKTIEBOLAGET LJUNGSTRÍMS ANGTURBIN, 10, Võstra Trõdgardsgatan, Stockholm. Sept. 10, 1930, No. 27061. Convention date, May 21. [Class 51 (i).] A heat transferring mass 6 through the same channels of which the heating and heated fluids, e.g. waste gases from a furnace and air to be heated, pass alternately comprises corrugated plates 16 having the corrugations running at an angle to the direction of flow 33 of the gases disposed on each ide of plates 17 having wider corrugations 20 unning in the direction of gas flow. The corrugations 20 are Z-shaped as shown or triangular and are deeper than those of the plates 16. Fig. 1 shows the plates packed in a frame 2 rotated by a motor 14 so that they pass alternately through channels 8, 9 for the waste gases and air respectively. Steam pipes 12, 13 are provided for cleaning the plates. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a form in which flat plates are disposed on each side of the plates 17. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
