Convention date, June 4, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 139.] Means are provided so that when the igniter lid 9 is raised the watch is automatically wound up. A chain 12 is attached at one end to the lid 9, hinged at 9<1> and at the other end to a pulley 11 which drives a ratchet wheel 10 to wind the mainspring. A spiral spring on pulley 11 returns the latter when the lid is closed. For handsetting a wheel 14 is entrained with a wheel 13 on the friction wheel 6 and with a train 15, 16, 17 to the watch hands. For this, wheel 14 is on an arm 19 pivoted at 20 and set manually by finger 21 guided by slot 22. With 14 in mesh, the friction wheel 6 is rotated to set the hands.
