Abstract
362,365. Indirectly heated steam boilers. STUBBS, A., 390, Wilbraham Road,. Chorlton - cum - Hardy, Manchester. Sept. 1, 1930, No. 26104. [Class 123 (ii).] In steam generators of the kind described in Specification 340,295, the economizer 8 which, together with the air heater 12, is arranged in a flue above the generator, discharges into the evaporator 13, the normal water level in which is at or above the economizer outlet. The water level in the boiler drum 5 may be regulated by a valve 23 in the feedwater pipe 22 between the evaporator and the drum, or by a valve 16 in the pipe 15 between the steam spaces of the evaporator and the drum. A valve 10 in the feedwater supply pipe 11 controls the level in the evaporator.
