Abstract

361,490. Paper boards; compound sheet materials. CUMFER, H. A., 4451, Fillmore Street, and MASON, W. J., 228, North La Salle Street, both in Chicago, U.S.A. Sept. 23, 1930, No. 28480. [Classes 96 and 140.] Plasterboard, lathing, or nonconducting lining consists of a rectangularly corrugated sheet 1 of fibrous material such as chip board, and a flat base sheet 2 such as felt saturated with asphalt and united to the sheet 1 by a waterproof adhesive. The rectangular ribs 4 have perforations 7 to key with the plaster, and smaller non-perforated ribs 6, preferably rounded, are formed between the ribs 4 to stiffen the board. The product may be supplied in rolls, and may be used as a lining for refrigerators and cold-storage rooms, and for excluding heat, sound, and moisture.
