Abstract

360,469. Bottle caps. TRIGGS, W. W., 57, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London.-(Anchor Cap & Closure Corporation ; 22, Queens Street, Long Island City, New York, U.S.A.) Aug. 6, 1930, No. 23528. [Class 125 (iii).] A bayonet-joint cap for bottles &c. having an annular groove 9 for the sealing washer &c. is provided with a recess or recesses 10 extending outwardly therefrom for securing the sealing material therein. The cap has a depending skirt with sealing lugs 5. The recess 10 may be a narrow annular groove adjacent to one side of groove 9 which is substantially wedge shaped in section. Sealing material 11 is poured into the cap in a fluid state and a locking rib 12 is formed on setting, which prevents the compo from becoming separated from the cap and lost.
