Abstract
357,408. Fastenings. WALKER, Ltd., T., WALKER, G. T., and WOOD, H. H., of Birmingham Buckle Works, St. Paul's Square, Birmingham. Nov. 6, 1930, No. 33357. [Class 44.] Two loops or frames 1, 2 are connected by a bent-over plate 3 to the back of which the button tab 5 is secured by a metal strap with bent lugs 6a. The plate 3 is recessed at 7 to receive the strap and may be channelled so that the edges of the channel bite into the tab, or the tab, if of rubber, may have a channel moulded into it. The ends of the loops 1, 2 may have enlargements which engage in sockets in the plate 3, to prevent the loops from springing apart. In a modified arrangement the front portion of the plate 3 is provided with two lugs which are passed through slots in the back portion of the plate and bent up to secure the two portions. In a further modification the lower loop 2 has its ends curled over the lower bar of the top loop 1.
