Abstract

357,362. Couplings. HENLEY'S TELEGRAPH WORKS CO., Ltd., W. T., 11, Holborn Viaduct, London, and GRAY, R. G., Cottage Meads, Meopham, Kent. Sept. 9, 1930, No. 26928. [Class 38 (i).] Means for making an elastic connection between two electrically conducting members, for example two cables or a cable and a terminal, comprises a pair of loops 5 forming part of a flat coil of a number of turns of metal strip, and a pair of clamps 6, 7, 13, 14, engaging the parts of the coil between the loops and forming means of attachment to the conducting members 1, 2. Side-bars 25 form guides to prevent lateral movement. In a modification the loops 5 are linked inwardly and the guiding means comprises a rod on one member sliding in a central tube on the other.
