[Class 47 (ii).] A device for preventing recoil during discharge from high - pressure gas cylinders through a conduit such as a fire - extinguishing hose.forms part of the means for coupling portions of the conduit and comprises a cap 5 screwed into an extension 4 on the outlet valve body, and having the hose coupling 11 screwed on it; it is closed at the end, and formed with opposite outlets 10. In a modification, the cap comprises a projection integral with the valve casing, and is formed with a small outlet in its closed end in addition to the balanced vents 10.
