Abstract
352,168. Envelopes for gramophone records &c. WARD, C. A., 63, Edith Road, West Kensington, London. May 20, 1930, No. 15452. [Class 146 (ii).] An envelope for gramophone records and like flat articles is constructed from a single paper, card, or like blank folded to form two or more different-sized compartments side-by-side. The blank is of T-shape as shown in Fig. 1. For a twocompartment envelope, the arms 5 are folded over along the lines 6, then along the lines 7, and again along the lines 9, as shown in Fig. 4. The stem portion 10 of the T is folded up about a line 11 and is secured to the marginal portions 8 and the faces 15 of the arms 5, thus forming two independent compartments of different size. The ears 14 serve to close the open bottom portions of the main compartments, while the ends 16 of the portions 8 are curved as shown to conform to the outlines of the record. By increasing the length of the arms 5 more compartments may be obtained. Extension pieces may be provided at the bottom or sides to serve as attachment strips for storing purposes.
