Floor-polishing apparatus comprises a casing 1 for polish forming a connecting element between a handle 10 and a distributing plate 3 set at an angle to the handle. Polish is ejected by a piston 7 hand-operated at 8. The polish is carried in a metal lining 2 having a resilient V-shaped opening 14 extending the entire width of the plate 3 and communicating with a smaller orifice 16 in the plate. The polish is applied by a detachable distributing member 15, which can be replaced by a polisher.
