Abstract
347,414. Current transformers. COMPAGNIE POUR LA FABRICATION DES COMPTEURS ET MATERIEL D'USINES A GAZ, 12, Place des Etats Unis, Montrouge, Seine, France. March 19, 1930, No. 8867. Convention date, March 20, 1929. [Class 38 (ii).] A current transformer comprises a series of cascade-connected units, the last of which has a primary in the form of a straight conductor C passing through a braking insulator I surrounded by a ring core T2 carrying the secondary winding connected to the instrument. The conductor C is linked with one or more auxiliary cores T1 located at the ends of the insulator I to form secondary windings for the auxiliary units the primaries of which are connected to input terminals P1, P2 for the current to be measured. In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 7, the conductor C passes through two bushing insulators, the cores T1 T2 being arranged one on each insulation.
