Abstract

345,504. Spinning-spindle apparatus. FERIER, B., 4, Rue Vaucanson, Lyons, France. March 29, 1930, No. 10045. Convention date, June 20, 1929. [Class 120 (ii).] In flyer apparatus adapted to give two twists to the material per revolution, of the kind wherein the bobbin-driving gear and traverse mechanism are arranged inside the flyer and are driven from the flyer spindle, the bobbin is driven by a drum actuated through variable-speed gear. The main shaft a actuates a gear wheel h which drives the bobbin-driving drum s and the cam n of the traverse mechanism. The drum is driven through reducing gear r from change mechanism j integral with the wheel h. A wheel m integral with the cam n is driven by a pinion k carried by the wheel h and meshing with a fixed wheel The thread guide is carried by a slide mounted on a shaft v and oscillated by a lever 3 from the cam n. Two or more yarns may be twisted together to produce doubled and fancy yarns. Twisting at delivery may be effected by drawing-off from a bobbin mounted in the apparatus.
