Abstract

343,726. Panoramic kinematograph cameras. ALBERINI, F., 4, Via Principe Amedeo, Rome. Feb. 7, 1930, No. 4267. Convention date, July 27, 1929. [Class 97 (i).] In panoramic kinematograph cameras, a driving shaft angularly displaces the lens and intermittently feeds the film along a circular path about the centre of the lens, the centre line of the film lying in a plane at right-angles to the axis about which lens displacement takes place. In one form, the intermittent feed mechanism comprises a sliding frame 1 driven by the eccentric 14. An eccentric disc 5, acting through a sliding member 6 causes fingers 3 associated with the slide 1 to engage intermittently the perforations in the film 4. The latter is fed past a moved exposure aperture 16 in a stationary cylindrical member 15. The lens 18 carried by the annular support 19 is rotatably mounted on the axis of the member 15. A reciprocating lever 23, carrying a toothed quadrant 22 which co-operates with a toothed quadrant fixed to the support 19, is adapted to oscillate the lens 18 thus exposing the film in the aperture 16. The lever 23 and feed mechanism are driven from the shaft 8 which is operated by the handle 7. In a modification a symmetrical lens is used and is caused to rotate continuously.
