Abstract

342,532. Moving signs. ARMITAGE, E. H., 58, Woodville Road, Golders Green, London. Feb. 6, 1930, No. 4024. [Class 3 (i). ] Cylinders, prisms, and like elements, rotating ; models.-A uniformly revolving sign comprises a frame 1, mounted on the top of a vertical stationary pole 4 extending through the frame, and rotated by a motor 6 secured to and disposed outside of and on the length of the pole 4 within the frame 1. The motor is held adjustably to the pole 4 by mounting it on a platform 5 supported by a split collar 5a. The frame 1 is built of section bars with a channelled horizontal zone 15 to receive removable glass or other display panels 11. Lamps 19 and reflectors 20 may be mounted on the pole within the frame, the leads 21 thereto passing up through the pole. The frame bearings 2, 3 are of the ball or roller type. The pole may be in two portions hinged or telescoping together whereby the frame may be lowered and raised by winch and rope tackle. The frame may be spherical, cylindrical, or polygonal, or may be in the form of a model..
