Abstract

341,222. Moulding concrete blocks. COATES, E. D., 125, Crookes Road, Sheffield. Dec. 4, 1929, No. 37175. [Class 87 (ii).] A mould for making concrete blocks comprises an open-ended trough-shaped member and loose end plates having securing members pivoted thereto forming part of a lug-and-slot securing device. In the illustrated form the mould comprises a channelshaped member a strengthened by longitudinallyrunning angle irons b, and shouldered loose end plates d which carry pivoted bars f. The end plates are slotted to pass over hooks c on the member a and are looked by wedging the bars f into the hooks as shown in Fig. 2.
