340,162. Harvey & Co., Ltd., M., and Cubley, H. Feb. 7, 1930. Grant of Patent refused. Steps. -In vehicle steps of the kind provided with a plate by which they may be mounted on or attached to the vehicle the step proper is pivoted to the attachment plate by a link structure or the like whereby it is caused to project from the plate to a considerable extent. As shown the step proper 4 is carried from the attachment plate 1, 2 by two pairs of links 5, 6 which may be arranged so as to interengage in the operative position of the step to limit the pivoted movement of the step. In a modification the links or step may be provided with stops to position the step accurately.
