Abstract
334,324. Pioneer Instrument Co., Inc., (Assignees of Urfer, A.). July 10, 1929. Supporting.-An electric lamp socket 12 is carried by a bracket 14 slidable on a rod 15 secured to the back of an instrument board or other panel 10 so that the lamp normally illuminates the rear of the panel and is connected by a bail 21, extending through an aperture 22 in the panel, to a cap 20 by means of which it can be drawn towards or through the aperture against the action of a spring 19 to render the lamp accessible for removal from the socket at the front of the panel. The bail 21 is preferably pivoted to the socket so that it can be swung sideways to engage the edge of the aperture and thereby facilitate holding the socket in the forward position. The cap 20 is loosely riveted to the bail and normally covers the aperture 22.
