333,051. Smith, A. B., and Smith, C. R. Aug. 2, 1929. Stationary mixers with rotary stirrers.-In a sand &c. mixing machine of the kind comprising a pan in which rotate arms which co-operate with relatively fixed members, the members c are mounted on the arms g of a spider surrounding the central domed part f of the stirrer shaft, the outer ends of the arms being mounted by means of pins k riding in holes in a flange on the pan b; the pins may be provided with springs m. In other forms, the members c are carried by the wall of the pan which is similarly mounted by means of pins, or the members are in the form of rollers mounted on radial shafts.
