Abstract

332,707. Morton, C. June 24, 1929. Rollers and roller heads.-In spinning-frames the front, back, and intermediate pairs of rollers are arranged to run just clear of each other and the weighting-means consists of a roller 17 mounted in a guideway 19 so as to apply pressure to the top back roller. The intermediate rollers are preferably of relatively small size and covered, and the bottom roller thereof may be frictionally driven as shown in Fig. 4.
