Abstract

331,951. Smith, E. W., and Smith, L. H. April 22, 1929. Writing and stationery cases.-An attachÚ case or the like for a portable typewriter is provided with a platform supporting the typewriter in position for operation when the hinged lid is opened, and may be provided also with one or more receptacles for stationery, tools, or other accessories. The attachÚ case shown in the Figure is provided with a deep hinged lid 22, and a platform 14 to which is secured the typewriter 13. The platform is hinged at one side and rests on ledges 18, a space being left between the case and the other side of the platform. The compartment 19 beneath the platform is employed for stationery, correspondence &c. and may be provided with indexed separators. The lid is provided at one side with a partition 23 and shelves 24, 25 forming a compartment for tools &c., a strap 26 secured to the shelf 25 being fastened to the shelf 24 by a press-button.
