Abstract
330,573. Hallett, J. March 11, 1929. Electric appliances.-An electric hair brush comprises a battery and a trembler coil enclosed in the hollow back of a brush of the pneumatic or air cushion type including two or more sets of electrically conducting bristles connected to the trembler coil. A hollow back-member a is detachably connected by a hinge b and clip c to a frame d carrying a panel e which supports a, coil j and battery g. One pole of the battery is connected to a post m electrically connected to a spring tongue m<1> which makes contact with the stud n, when the button o is pressed. The contact n and the other pole of the battery are connected to the coil, which is wound on a core p consisting of a single flat strip of iron. The two or more sets of electrically conducting wires are set in spaced relation in a convex rubber pad i and connected so as to form two insulated electrode groups, which are connected by wires to the opposed sides of the contact breaker, to the ends of the coil, or to a secondary winding provided on the trembler coil.
