329,675. Stutzer, W. I. Jan. 23, 1929. Drawings to Specification. Spinning-machines; roving frames; rollers and roller heads. - Dry spinning-machines of ordinary construction in general but wherein the spindle speed is reduced to about one half or one third of the usual spinning speed, the shelf is steeply inclined, and the roving passes freely between the feed and delivery rollers for a space of from 150 to 200 mm., so that it may be free to untwist and separate fibres are not entangled, are used to produce a second or third roving from the coarse-roving produced by a gill roving frame in the preparation of flax, hemp, jute, and like materials.
